Layla at the Lettered Cottage had a great idea!
Pick a word of the year!
It’s the new New Year’s resolution.
Instead of, I plan to lose weight, stop procrastinating, or as my son would do…buy a shirt {he likes to keep things simple} you pick a word that inspires you.
Layla picked the word up after seeing the movie.
I spent the last two days to come up with the perfect word for me this year and now I have it.
Do.
My expectations for 2012 are to do.
Do projects.
Do take a class.
Do reading.
Do enjoy the front porch with my guy and Homer.
Do have a ladies luncheon.
Do continue volunteering.
Do accept the invitation.
Do vacation.
Do learn.
I feel inspired already. My Itouch has more do ideas than songs…and I going to enjoy doing each one.
2012 is going to be incredible.
I will link this post up with Layla’s on Monday so if you have a blog link up too with your word for the year.
A quick update on the journey of do now that I’ve been living with it for 5 days.
Wow, what an impact!
I cleared out a dresser full of clothes that didn’t fit…and never will. Instead of watching football at home, I accepted an invite to watch at a local bar and had a blast {bars are not really my thing but it was full of laughs and fun}, joined friends, for a scrap booking class {soooo much fun and learned so much “doing” I joined the scrap book club {that will be a future post}, I completed the designs for my desk, and started the designs for the kids guest room {another future post.}
Oh…and one more thing…I having a awesome good time and feel incredible.

My word this is year is also {do}. I often dream and plan, however not always so good at the {do} part. I’m pushing myself this year and am happy to find another person with {do} as a word!
I’m a dreamer and planner too…I have plans that could fill a filing cabinet! So far I’m off to a good start. Let me know how you do…and let’s pass along any tips that help.
